In 2022, Julie Dion and Heather Reid took over the PTO from Rosa Pezzuto when her children moved onto middle school. The PTO was able to bring back programs that had been on hold due to the Covid 19 pandemic and introduce many new ones. Popular events such as Turn off the Screen, Trunk or Treat, and Lunch with Santa made their return. New events such as Penny Wars, the Summer in the Snow dance, and the wildly popular Color Run made their debut at Jefferson. The new team also brought life into our PTO tiger mascot Max the Mighty who was named by Jefferson students.
Julie owns a graphic and web design business. She and her husband Jason have two sons, Casey (3rd grade), and Austin (1st grade). Heather is an elementary school teacher for the Bethlehem Central School District. She and her husband Eric have a son Jackson (3rd grade), and twin girls Addison and Kenley (1st grade).
Together with Max, Julie and Heather will continue on for the 23/24 school year with a new mission to give even more back to the students at Jefferson. Join them in their mission today by volunteering, joining a team, or donating today!
